Without adjusting the original layout of this ‘discret maison de ville’ we stripped out the entire first floor, ground floor and garden to give ‘peau neuf ‘ to this unsuspecting town house. Correcting levels and replacing flooring across 3 stories we renovated all bathrooms, adjusted the main staircase, and reconfigured the entry hall and kitchen to achieve spatial identity throughout. By tying in the exterior courtyard and living areas with a concise material pallet and minimal paint tones we fleshed out the home’s details with a rigorous selection of lamps, sanitary goods and hardware. Custom designed steel and woodwork including kitchen, patio furniture, pergolas, front door, architectural lighting and hand cast bronze handles designed expressly for the project. A truly authentic townhouse.
